On our way to Achill Island, we stopped in Mulraney and walked down to the beach. The tide was out, so we stopped again on our way back to Westport at the end of the day, and took this picture with the tide back in.
During our trip to Ireland, we visited the Monastic site of Clonmacnois on the River Shannon near Athlone. Yes, more pictures of stones!
Someone asked about the kittens, and I have a ton of pictures to share, but this one from yesterday made me laugh. Both kittens are so curious about any change in their environment. Throw an empty box on the floor and they will spend an hour investigating it. I was cleaning out the pantry and pulled this soup out. While I was busy with something else, Eli made himself comfortable.
Started in 1078 by William the Conqueror, The White Tower at the Tower of London was finished in 1087 by his sons, William Rufus and Henry I.
During our stay in Hampshire, England, we walked along the Basingstoke Canal several times. Barges like this are a common sight, either for canal tours or private use like this one.
